Presentation
The DIGDAKTIKA/DIGDACTICS conference will mark the conclusion of the project Raising Digital Competences, the purpose of which was to promote the development of innovative learning environments that contribute to the raise of digital competences of management and education staff, children, pupils and students.
At the conference with international participation, we will present the results of the project within which we designed, tested and evaluated diverse solutions for the development of digital competences of management and education staff, children, pupils and students. They included various training and education courses, online support environment for the efficient use of digital technologies, digital materials, good practice examples, the creation of learning community and recommendations for the improvement of digital competences.
The conclusion of the DDK project marks the coming to an end of an important period that enabled planned development and contributed to the improvement of digital competences of education staff. Collaboration and co-creation in the project was an important development breakthrough for everybody involved since we prepared together for new challenges education is facing due to digitalisation.
The DIGDAKTIKA/ DIGDACTICS conference aims to encourage all participants to increase their digital competences, to use innovative practice at their work and to support the learners in acquiring and upgrading their digital competences and the sensible use of digital technology.
No participation fee will be charged to DIGDAKTIKA/DIGDACTIC conference participants. In-person as well as virtual participation will be enabled.
The conference duration is 8 hours. Participants will receive participation certificates.
Programme
The conference programme will provide three plenary lectures given by invited lecturers who will discuss the importance and role of digital strategies of education institutions (participants of the project Raising Digital Competences), the changed learning experiences and habits of learners due to the use of digital technologies (Boris Jokić, PhD, the Institute of social research, Zagreb) and the role and support of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning (prof. Blaž Zupan, PhD, University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science).
The conference participants will have the opportunity to listen to educators and teachers who will present the activities for guiding and supporting the learners as they develop and acquire digital competences. The contributions will present quality examples of innovative transformation of learning and teaching with an emphasis on the improvement of digital literacy of learners, guidance to use appropriate ways of communication and collaboration, creation of digital contents and empowerment of learners to become responsible users and problem solvers.
Within individual sections, we will host renowned domestic and foreign experts. We will address the possibilities to promote the development and implementation of digital didactics of various target groups – from kindergartens through primary and secondary schools to universities and decision-makers.
Within the DIGDAKTIKA conference programme, we are preparing an event for the sponsors of the conference to present themselves and the solutions that can contribute to raising digital competences of learners.
All plenary lectures as well as some sectional lectures and selected examples of good practice will be translated into Slovenian or English.
